New Curriculum Paragraph

The “Smart Bangladesh” ecosystem will stand on four key pillars – “Smart Citizen”, “Smart Government”, “Smart Society” and “Smart Economy”. Although the government’s goal of creating a “Smart Bangladesh” by 2041 is a bold decision, its implementation will be a significant challenge. The government must prepare a concrete masterplan through extensive discussions with relevant stakeholders. To support emerging technology, regulatory frameworks must be promptly modified. There should be policies in place to support and protect technology IP valuation. Last but not the least, utmost importance and care should be given to the development of human resources. Until now, universities have been unable to embed emerging tech in their curriculum. There is still a huge gap between the academia and industry which should be minimised as soon as possible.

“স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ” ইকোসিস্টেম চারটি মূল স্তম্ভের উপর দাঁড়িয়ে থাকবে – “স্মার্ট সিটিজেন”, “স্মার্ট গভর্নমেন্ট”, “স্মার্ট সোসাইটি” এবং “স্মার্ট ইকোনমি”। 2041 সালের মধ্যে একটি “স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ” গঠনের সরকারের লক্ষ্য একটি সাহসী সিদ্ধান্ত হলেও এর বাস্তবায়ন একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ চ্যালেঞ্জ হবে। সরকারকে সংশ্লিষ্ট স্টেকহোল্ডারদের সঙ্গে ব্যাপক আলোচনার মাধ্যমে একটি কংক্রিট মাস্টারপ্ল্যান তৈরি করতে হবে। উদীয়মান প্রযুক্তিকে সমর্থন করার জন্য, নিয়ন্ত্রক কাঠামো অবিলম্বে সংশোধন করতে হবে। প্রযুক্তি আইপি মূল্যায়ন সমর্থন ও সুরক্ষার জন্য নীতি থাকা উচিত। সবশেষে কিন্তু সর্বনিম্ন নয়, মানবসম্পদ উন্নয়নে সর্বোচ্চ গুরুত্ব ও যত্ন দেওয়া উচিত। এখন অবধি, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলি তাদের পাঠ্যক্রমে উদীয়মান প্রযুক্তি এম্বেড করতে পারেনি। একাডেমিয়া এবং শিল্পের মধ্যে এখনও একটি বিশাল ব্যবধান রয়েছে যা যত তাড়াতাড়ি সম্ভব হ্রাস করা উচিত।
