Independence Day Paragraph
The Independence Day of Bangladesh is observed on the 26th March every year. War for independence started on the 26th March in 1971 and lasted till our victory on the 16th of December It took place as a result of the discrimination, oppression and suppression of the west Pakistan rulers. The war continued for long nine months. It was a bloody struggle. More than 30 lacks of people sacrificed their valuable lives for the sake of freedom. This blood-shed of our heroic people did not go in vain. A proverb also goes, ‘there is a silver lining even in the darkest of clouds’. Justice triumphed in the long run. The Pakistani occupation forces surrendered unconditionally to the allied forces on December 16, 1971. This victory confirmed the birth of Bangladesh on the world map However, March 26 is our independence day because on this day in 1971, the Independence Day was declared. It is a national holiday. All offices, educational institutions, shops and factories remain closed on this day. The day begins with 31 gunshots. Early in the morning the President and the Prime Minister on behalf of the nation place floral wreaths at the National Mausoleum at Saver Then diplomats, political parties, social and cultural organizations and freedom fighters pay homag to the martyrs. We celebrate this day every year with great honor and solemnity.

“বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা দিবস”
বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা দিবস প্রতি বছর ২৬ মার্চ পালিত হয়। পশ্চিম পাকিস্তানি শাসকদের বৈষম্য, নিপীড়ন ও দমন-পীড়নের ফলে 1971 সালের 26 মার্চ স্বাধীনতার জন্য যুদ্ধ শুরু হয় এবং 16 ডিসেম্বর আমাদের বিজয় পর্যন্ত চলে। দীর্ঘ নয় মাস যুদ্ধ চলে। এটি একটি রক্তক্ষয়ী সংগ্রাম ছিল। স্বাধীনতার জন্য ৩০ টিরও বেশি অভাবী মানুষ তাদের মূল্যবান জীবন উৎসর্গ করেছেন। আমাদের বীর জনগণের এই রক্তপাত বৃথা যায়নি। একটি প্রবাদও আছে, ‘মেঘের অন্ধকারেও একটি রূপালী আস্তরণ রয়েছে’। দীর্ঘমেয়াদে বিচারের জয় হয়েছে। ১৯৭১ সালের ১৬ ডিসেম্বর পাকিস্তানি হানাদার বাহিনী মিত্র বাহিনীর কাছে নিঃশর্ত আত্মসমর্পণ করে। এই বিজয় বিশ্ব মানচিত্রে বাংলাদেশের জন্ম নিশ্চিত করে তবে ২৬শে মার্চ আমাদের স্বাধীনতা দিবস কারণ ১৯৭১ সালের এই দিনেই স্বাধীনতা দিবস ঘোষণা করা হয়েছিল। এটি একটি জাতীয় ছুটির দিন। এদিন সকল অফিস, শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান, দোকানপাট ও কলকারখানা বন্ধ থাকে। দিনটি শুরু হয় 31টি গুলির মাধ্যমে। সকালে রাষ্ট্রপতি ও প্রধানমন্ত্রী জাতির পক্ষ থেকে সাভারে জাতীয় সমাধিসৌধে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণ করেন এরপর কূটনীতিক, রাজনৈতিক দল, সামাজিক ও সাংস্কৃতিক সংগঠন এবং মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা শহীদদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানান। আমরা প্রতি বছর এই দিনটি অত্যন্ত সম্মান ও গাম্ভীর্যের সাথে উদযাপন করি।
